The Colony Palm Beach offers a lush and elegant setting for a romantic wedding. Veronica and Garret celebrated a beautiful day with their closest friends and family. They planned every detail and poured so much love into their wedding day. When I first arrived I knew right away it was going to be a fabulous day. All the florals and beautiful details had a creative effect on me as a photographer. I was so inspired and hope you enjoy a glimpse into this romantic day.
From The BRIDE:
About the Dress: I thought I had a good idea of what kind of dress I wanted until I actually started trying them on! As a pretty big “girly girl”, I thought every dress I tried on was beautiful but it wasn’t until I put on a Mira Zwillinger dress that I knew this was it. My sister cried when I put it on! I love how each flower is placed to create the most beautiful and flattering bodice. I also love that the tulle is incredibly soft and ever so slightly blush for a different bridal look. Chic Parisian made it extra special by customizing the removable straps to give me another look for the reception. My something old was a layered pearl bracelet from my late grandmother who had the best jewelry collection! I love that a piece of her was with me when we got married.
I was extremely inspired by Palm Beach and especially our venue, the Colony Hotel when planning our wedding. I wanted to mimic the lush greenery and florals of the island combined with the beautiful pastel colors! I asked all my bridesmaids to pick their own dresses because they’re all incredibly chic and have great taste! The only instruction I gave was for it to be a pastel color or have a floral pattern. They looked stunning!
Even before the pandemic hit, I wanted our wedding to feel like an intimate garden party. My incredible team of vendors absolutely nailed it! The mix of textures, patterns, and florals were the perfect combination. Since Garrett and I live in Atlanta, we relied heavily on the amazing Golden Pineapple team to help us carry out our wedding dreams. They were instrumental in guiding us through pandemic wedding planning so our guests could safely enjoy such a special weekend!
From The BRIDE:
How they Met: Garrett and I met in the summer of 2007. I had just finished my junior year of high school and was taking classes at Duke as part of the TIP program. Garrett was an incoming Duke freshman on the football team and was there that summer for practice. After we parted ways that summer, we didn’t reconnect until 5 years later when I was finishing my Masters at UVA and he was living in Baltimore. He found me on Scramble with Friends and we started messaging. After a few weeks of texting and calling, he invited me to go on a date in Baltimore and the rest is history!
Thank you for capturing every moment of our beautiful day!! We will cherish these photos forever. Love you so much!
